Build what you like. Play the game to have fun. Play the mission to win.
I don't want them to change the IA 7 list, it is up to date with the new points costs of Imperial Guard stuff for the most part. I'm actively working on an army using that list and I don't need a moving target. The other two used wargear rather than new style all the options on one page, IA7 isn't like that, it is a more modern style army list, it is newer than the Imperial Guard codex.
I appreciate FW publishing these updates. I am currently building a traitor guard army for a local league I'm playing in over the summer.
Ah, thanks for pointing this out! This will make my upcoming traitor guard project that much more realistic.I would totally have missed this, I got o the forgeworld site very rarely.
With the DKK update last week I was hoping this would quickly follow. I now have to modify one of my officers as they can no longer have bolters (or sniper rifles, go figure), however my Sabre Defense platform with quad heavy stubbers dropped to a mere 30 points!!!
While the IA7 list may not need much updating (though some things like the chemical mortars could use a second look pricing-wise), the main thing for me is just having them up for wider access and hopefully wider acceptance as a result.
While I do not play IG, it is nice to see these updates being free and available to a wider range of gamers.Speaking of updates: We gonna see an army list from you Sons? The goal you are working toward with all these excellent guard conversions?
@Mags - I put up the initial list a while ago actually:http://sonsoftaurus.blogspot.com/2010/05/army-list-lost-and-damned-ig.htmlThere have been a few tweaks since then, mostly for modeling reasons like swapping a few flamers for GLs and a PF for PW.
