Another 750pt league game, this time against Josh's Grey Knights. I knew I'd be facing that rotten dreadknight, so I came prepared with a mass of klaws to take it down, led by the Waaaghstrosity himself, Ghazghkull Thraka.

I painted the cockpit and pilot and added a few markings once I realized what I wanted to call the plane. So welcome to the skies of 40K the SQUiG-15, in honor of the first plane to score a victory in jet-on-jet combat, the Soviet MiG-15.

I picked this puppy up back in November at GU, but only recently got around to putting it together and slapping paint on. I'm sure that it will see service in the 40K league soon.
As I usually do the first time with a kit, I kept the build pretty straightforward. I originally planned to do it up with my airbrush, but it kept being cold so aside from a quick spray day for the top and bottom base I've used regular old bristle brushes.

I got my first official game of the new league in today, against Patrick's Necrons. We ended up with Scouring/Dawn of War.
I took the same list I used in the practice round - Big Mek with KFF, 30 shoota boys with nob, 10 grots, dread, 3 kans, 2 koptas, 3 lobbas.
Necrons had two foot warrior squads, two squads in nightscythes, and two annihilation barges.

This past Sunday was the weekend before our new league started up, and we got some practice games in. First up I played James M. who wanted to try out the new Daemons and see what might work and what wouldn't. For the second, I played Josh B.'s Grey Knights. Both games were 750pts.

Our next 40K league hasn't started yet, but I got a pre-season game in with Jim Bowen today, my Orks vs. his Squats (Codex: Space Marines), 750pts Scouring/Hammer and Anvil. Ork Deployment above.
