Dem Bones

An appropriate figure for the weather here today.  

Over the past few days I put 40K aside and played around with knocking some Bones/Reaper figures out, to dent the backlog up a tad before the second round of Bones Kickstarter figures arrived.  Above is a dragon done up simply as a White Dragon/Frost Dragon.

This weekend we got in our two-on-one game, Orks and Tau vs. Space Wolves.  See previous post for the scenario special rules.  

Bared Fangs: Prelude

This weekend we're going to have a two-on-one battle as part of our Triad Cluster campaign, with my Orks and Solomon's Tau double teaming Scott's Space Wolves.  Central to the game will be a crashed Thunderhawk, represented by the paper version above (or a re-creation) made by Jim Bowen that I won as a prize at a food drive hobby event we did a while back.  

Triad Cluster Campaign report: Orks vs. Sisters

Before the minor sports kerfuffle that evening, Doug and I got a more important game in, a 40K match for our Triad Cluster campaign.  We went up to 1750pts so a few more things made appearances.

We had six evenly spaced objectives across the board, plus the relic in the middle and normal first blood, etc.  "Recon" deployment - 18" in but have to be over 24" from the enemy.
