Diabolus Incursion - Mission 1 - Onslaught!

 

With the main Chaos fleets out raiding, the ships that remained - light system defense forces and already damaged ships undergoing repairs and refits - were no match for the sudden ork attack.  While a number of the ork kroozers and escorts were felled, the central hulk smashed aside all in its path.

Once the space-borne defenses were out of the way, the attack on the planet began.  Kannons of all sorts lashed the surface while swarms of dakkajets and bommas attempted to rule the skies.  Ramshackle landers descended even as tellyporta arrays sent elite mobs into the heart of the Chaos defenders.  Spaceports and other strategic sites were priority targets, with ork forces attempting to secure them to allow the larger landers easier access...

Campaign - The Diabolus Incursion! --- Introduction

I've had an itch to do something a little looser and a little more story driven than random pick up games, league games or a tournament.  So, a campaign seemed in order. 

Void Phantoms - almost done!

Almost done with my Eldar/Dark Eldar Corsairs, the Void Phantoms.  Sealing and doing up a jetbike warlock and they'll be finished.

40K League Game: Space Sharks vs. Orks 1500pts

Got the first game in for this new 40K league, vs. Eric's Orks.  1500pts, Hammer and Anvil deployment, Emperor's Will (one objective each).

I brought:

Void Phantoms update, Space Sharks vs. Necrons

I've gotten some more updates done on the Void Phantoms in the form of progress on the Swooping Hawks and Dire Avengers.  Just need basing and sealing for the most part.

 

And the Ghost Warrior Who Walks.  The face turned out all crusty, will have to clear that off and start over, or try sanding down the rough parts.

Sunday after our league discussion I ran a demo for two people thinking of getting into 40K.  I had prepped for four people, but due to illness only two showed.  We got a little bit of a late start so only managed to get through one of three potential matches, but given that everything was new not too bad.

This Sunday I'm going to run some 40K demo games down at Gaming Underground.  I've got four armies prepped out, but if we end up with more interested parties we can split up some commands if necessary. 

Packing up the figures!  Into the bags and boxes with ye!

 

 

Better put those Chaos guys in first; they get unruly.

Miscellaneous progress

Papa Nurgle has visited our house, and we're all down with the flu.  Mine is receding, and I've managed to get some miniature progress in.
