While it wasn't one of the ones that got me back into 40K - sites like Batreps.com and the Maelstrom did that - and it was never one of the big dogs on the block like the Bolter & Chainsword, Dakka Dakka or Warseer, The Eternity Gate quickly became one of my favorites. It's had a number of really great posters over the years, and its smaller size has kept the signal-to-noise ratio a lot higher than on a lot of the big sites.
From its heyday back in 2005 or so it's experienced a decline in activity, though a core of (IMO) pretty cool cats remains. It was recently decided to streamline and reboot the site, clearing out a lot (but not all) of the old topics and combining sub-forums to keep things a little more active. If you're reading this blog, you obviously appreciate good online content ;-) so come check it out, join up and help build a high-quality, low-junk forum.
