Battletech unseen mech...er, Robotech kickstarter

OK, I resisted as long as I could, but I succumbed to the Robotech miniatures kickstarter.

Maybe the game itself will be fun too, but mainly I'm looking at it as a good way to get a ton of plastic mechs for Battletech, especially as they are the designs from the original sets and hard to find/expensive things otherwise.

There are Wasps/Stingers galore, with full LAM versions no less.

Warhammers, Riflemen, Archers, Crusaders, Phoenix Hawks (again, full LAM version) and Marauders.  Oh, the lovely, lovely Marauders.

Plus a ton of Zentraedi battlepods that can surely be shoehorned into some Battletech stats.

And all of it in 1/285th scale, same as Battletech.  Joy.

As of this writing, there's a little over a day left, so scrape up some credits and pick up some mechs!

Excuse me, I need to go start making plans for next year's Mechwarrior campaigns...

  1. I am in so deep on this. Seriously. I picked up some "Battledroids" models ages ago not realizing they were the Battletech pre-cursor (I just wanted them for the Dougram models) and the detail on the new models looks a lot better than my old stuff. I'm really excited for this.

    1. Yeah. I'm not going Bones-deep on it, only Battlecry plus some add-ons. 11 stingers/wasps, 1-2 phoenix hawks, 3 marauders, 4 warhammers, 4 riflemen, 4 crusaders, 2 archers and a bunch of miscellany should be enough, especially with the handful of other types I have figures for, and standups for the more unusual types.

    2. I would use the pods as Caesars or Cataphracts.
