Finished Merkan IG pics



It was warm and dry enough last night to hit them with some matte sealer, so the Merkan 76th is officially complete.  At least until I decide to build the sentinels to bring them to 2000pts. ;-)

    That is a whole lot of guardsmen! You really don't see much heavy infantry guard around here. I however, think that blob squads of infantry with a commissar could be quite effective and annoying!

    The pictures are making me want to break out my Box O Catachans and finish painting up the three full conscript squads I was planning. There are few things like a Guard Horde on the table.

    I love these guys. To tell you the truth after seeing these a few weeks ago I finally decided to paint my IG in the style of the Steel Legion. (Black armor with dark Tan pants or w/e they are). Sadly I can't seem to find the time to finish them. Im impressed by how these guys look. Just wondering if youve used them yet?

    Thanks Corey! I love the SL figs, wish they did more. I'm not as talented or as crazy as some who've scratch-built their own.

    I have in fact used them a few times! Click on the "merkan 76th" tag at the bottom of the post and you should be able to find two batreps with them.
